Not having posted for two years, here's a copy of an email sent early this morning:

Well, at least I'm not the only one not getting any email....(facebook
is the only place I pick up bits of news...).

Here are some bits from our direction: Bruce and I are doing fine.
He's still doing his temporary work for the state Energy Office, but
is taking a day or part of a day a week off to do some volunteer work
for the town of Pittsboro (working on diagnosing the source of the
mysterious odor problem at the new library, and also the mold at the
RAFi building), I'm still collecting my 150 a week unemployment and
loving going to Curves 3-4 times a week and how much better the
movement is making my arthritic self feel. Also doing a bit of
sewing, and some knitting, and playing 'words with friends' on
facebook which is fun.

Talked with Ariel this week as she was walking home from work, and
she'd met some friends for a 'girls weekend', halfway between LA and
Palo Alto and had a lovely time. She said that Derek is making good
progress on his dissertation.

Logan and Jessi are having a dispute with their apartment complex over
where to park their bicycles, and are quite aggravated by it all.
They're also going down to the LA area this weekend to meet a possible
second (hairless terrier) dog, that they might adopt if she seems to
be compatible with them and with Striker, their current one.

Bruce's sister Melissa's daughter Charleane in Jacksonville spent a
day and a night at the hospital after having some possible issues with
pre-eclampsia. She was discharged Thursday, and everyone's hoping
that she will have no further problems...she's pregnant with twin boys
due in May but expected in April. And Melissa's son Bret's wife was
just delivered by c-section yesterday morning - their second daughter.
They named her Isabela.

No current news from Jon and Lisa....

Today is Will's birthday - Happy Birthday, Will!! ( I guess when
you've reached the point where you consider your birthday "just
another day", as Mary says he said, you're 'a grown-up'....Sigh....so
it goes...)

And.....that's about it here I guess?...

Happy Valentine's Day coming up, and Cheers to all!
